Don't be fooled by your university or bookstore chain. They offer inferior products at higher prices and what they claim to be "acid-free" is not true preservation quality.
A lower price point for you
Museum Framing offers you a lower price because after having worked in the industry for over 25 years we know what a fair price is. Don't let your university bookstore rip you off!
Higher quality than your college bookstore
Our diploma frames are made from superior quality materials and are 100% guaranteed to be framed using only museum grade rag matting and rag backing.
Experience you can trust
Your diploma is framed with the same quality materials and techniques that we use in framing rare antique prints and manuscripts for museums, libraries, and collectors.
How is our diploma framing process different?
Simple. We adhere to the following strict framing practices:
- Diploma matting - Only 100% museum grade double cotten rag for matting and backing. This is the material museums, galleries, and collectors use for priceless works of art. This is superior to the "acid-free" matboards, which are made from pulp, that most framing shops use.
- Mounting procedures - Scotch tape and other non-archival green dots will damage your diploma over time. We only use museum grade clear mylar strips and mylar corners to frame your diploma. Mylar is the same material used by museums in framing and preserving artwork worldwide.
- Protective glass - Additionally, we only use 99% UV filtering glass or 98% UV filtering acrylic. This is the best material on the market.
- Diploma backing - All of our frames consist of acid free backing paper which seals the back from contamination and insect infestation.
